Classic climbs of Caucasus - Climbing Kazbek (5033 m).
Kazbek is the mountain of volcanic origin, which closes the Main Caucasian Mountain Range in the South East. By its route characteristics and
even by its appearance Kazbek resembles much the diminished variant of Elbrus. Kazbek is lower than its Big Brother for 500 meters and does not
present such physical complications as Elbrus - the acclimatization before Kazbek climbing program can be quite fast
(one or two days are enough in most cases). On the classic Kazbek route there are some technical obstacles, climbing of which normally presents no difficulty.
The region and its center - Kazbegi village - from where Kazbek climbing route begins is rich by its historical and cultural artefacts, which can diversify the
Kazbek climbing program with some interesting sightseeing excursions.
Classics of Mountaineering, Climbing Kazbek / Mkinvartsvery (5033 m).
This 6 days Kazbek climbing program is intended for people, who have small climbing experience or have none at all and who would like
to try what the mountain climbing is. Kazbek is really good for that purpose. The climbing route is not difficult and does not
require technical skills or spending long time at high altitude. The
Brief AlexClimb course of mountain technique is recommended before the trip.
