Caucasus. Climbing Shkhara with Guide.

Season: June - September

Climbing Shkhara from the North (Russian side, Bezengi valley) - Classic climb, the most accessible route to the top of the one of the most difficult Caucasus mountains over 5000 m.

Shkhara - Mountaineering Legend, one of the most difficult mountains in Caucasus. Highest mountain of Georgia, located just on the Russian-Georgian border in the Bezengi region - "Small Himalayas" of Caucasus. One of the most difficult climbing objects of Caucasus. Climbing skills are required.

Shkhara - Mountaineering Legend, one of the most difficult mountains in Caucasus. Highest mountain of Georgia, located just on the Russian-Georgian border in the Bezengi region - "Small Himalayas" of Caucasus. One of the most difficult climbing objects of Caucasus. Climbing skills are required.

Shkhara is located in the remote and serious Caucasian region Bezengi with quite developed mountaineering infrastructure, this mountain is one of the most difficult and challenging climbing objects in Russian Caucasus, although relatively more often visited than Ushba. Climbing this mountain requires advanced level of climbing experience and sufficient acclimatization. Normal route from Russian side - it is very long ridge which can be climbed in 3-4 days if the weather permits. This route is not over-complicated with technical pitches, it requires some iceclimbing skills and ability of moving safely on the snow.
All possible climbing routes from the South (Svanetia, Georgia) are combined rock and ice climbing routes, very long and objectively dangerous.
