What the Skitour is?
Today in Russia, step by step, ski-tour acquires wide popularity due to its extreme universality. On the one hand
it is opportunity to have high-grade fun as with mountain ski, to do most interesting free rides, on other hand - it is opportunity
to get to such locations, there are only helicopter can lift you... In other words, ski-tour is successful,
high technological combination of mountain and touristic ski. The modern equipment enables you to feel the utmost freedom!
With ski tour it is not necessary to elbow on the overcrowded "civilized" slope, to stand in line waiting for the chair lift, to hobble
in not convenient for walking bulky ski boots. We are skiing on the slopes, where IS NOBODY, ride the untouched snow of reserved
gorges, we descent from the wonderful summits to the inaccessible valleys...- all this is ski-tour.
What is the difference of ski-tour from the usual mountain skies? First it is the special lightened mountain skies with
fastenings adapted for walking (moveable heel). On a sliding surface of the skies the special tape - "kamus" can be fixed, which enables
you to climb on a skies upwards the mountain slope. Before descent the kamus is removed, the fastenings are fixed in the
position for descent, and, dusting up cascades of snow, you fly swiftly downwards by a
soft, virgin snow... Special boots for ski-tour are comfortable for walking and are convenient for ski descents and for walking and even for climbing in crampons.
Many ski-tour fastening allow to use usual climbing boots which are more convenient for walking, but less comfortable
for skiing.
